Celebrating the Remarkable Career of Tuti Herawati: A True Legend at Asian Tigers Indonesia

In the heart of Asian Tigers Indonesia, a remarkable journey spanning over two decades is coming to a bittersweet end as we bid farewell to our beloved colleague, Tuti Herawati, fondly known as Tuti. With a career that began in 2001 as a receptionist and evolved into an extraordinary legacy, Tuti’s retirement marks the end of an era at our company. Tuti’s story with Asian Tigers Indonesia is one of dedication, perseverance, and unparalleled growth. She started her journey as the welcoming face at our reception desk, where her warm smiles and unmatched courtesy set the tone for every visitor. Her commitment and professionalism soon caught the eye of our leadership, leading to a well-deserved promotion to Sales Secretary.

However, Tuti’s journey was far from over. She continued to push the boundaries of her abilities and was soon promoted once again, this time to Sales, specializing in handling Agent booking accounts. Her meticulous attention to detail and ability to navigate complex client relationships made her an invaluable asset to our team.

On September 4th, 2023, we gathered in our office to celebrate Tuti’s retirement with a heartfelt farewell party. During the event, she was presented with a certification of recognition and a plaque in honor of her outstanding services throughout her illustrious career. Our Managing Director, Mr. Bill Lloyd, took the opportunity to acknowledge Tuti’s exceptional qualities. He described her as a people person, tirelessly hardworking, and a legend for consistently delivering outstanding services to our clients. Tuti’s dedication to her work was paralleled by her role as a single mother, showcasing her strength and resilience in both her personal and professional life.

Tuti’s colleagues also had much to say about her. She was recognized as the best senior colleague, always willing to teach and provide guidance to junior members of the team. Her welcoming nature and dedication to fostering a sense of belonging within the “tiger family” will be remembered by all who had the privilege of working alongside her.

Adding a touch of tradition and culture to the event, a special ceremony was held for the wrapping of Ulos, a tradition from the Toba Batak in North Sumatra. The Ulos given was Ulos Sadum, symbolizing hope, joy, respect, and appreciation. Traditionally, this Ulos is presented by elders to younger generations. In this ceremony, our top management, Mr. Bill Lloyd and Mr. Uti Sinaga, had the honor of bestowing the Ulos upon Tuti.

As we bid farewell to Tuti, there is no denying that we are filled with mixed emotions. While we are saddened by her departure, we are equally excited about the new adventures that await her in retirement. We hope that our paths will continue to cross in the future, maintaining the strong bond we’ve shared throughout the years. Her remarkable journey from receptionist to a celebrated figure in our company serves as an inspiration to us all.
